He further explains that it does lubricate his systems. So based on current physics, and that the STU gives no answer or any conflicting theory, that it's fusion. I would doubt that it's fission since the amount of nuclear waste that's created would have to be dealt with and one would think that it would have surfaced in an episode somewhere. Since there's no conflicting science and no direct answer ever given, my answer is that it's either fission or fusion. What is a power cell? How does it work? How does it recharge itself? Some others above gave answers that tried to deal with some of these issues. In this case there is no STU explanation for what is powering data. There are some conflicts since the STU is more technologically and scientifically advanced than us so of course there would be new discoveries that might conflict with our own understanding of physics, chemistry, etc. If we use a term scientific or otherwise it holds true that it has the same meaning in the STU. So what we call a chair, in the STU is also a chair. I would like to posit, that when we view sci fi or Star Trek we accept that whatever is true in our universe is true in the Star Trek Universe as well unless there is a conflict. I wanted to ask this question myself, but it would have been deemed a duplicate question by the overseers of the site. However nobody fully answered the broad and more interesting question of how data is powered. Based on the quote from the movie they recharge themselves. The second part or explanation is sort of answered above and in some other answers. The original question was, "How is data powered?" then a further explanation of the question, "What powers Data from Star Trek The Next Generation? Did he generate his own internal power or did he have to plug into the Enterprise periodically to recharge? Or perhaps a combination of the two?" My power cells continually re-charge themselves. Several people have mentioned the following quote from the movie Insurrection There is no answer directly in any episode or movie. I haven't really seen an answer yet so I'll take a crack at it. Have been around for about 150 years, and Data's SK cell packs haveīeen augmented by biochemical and electroplasma micro-reactors. To know what Data runs on, it's lots and lots of old lithium cell You could theorheticallyĪbsorb potential energy from gravity by walking down stairs, but how Just transferring energy from your body too). 5/1/2023 0 Comments April parks and rec![]() Even the nude-painting-on-the-wall gag, while funny, has to be a nod to Marge’s portrait of Mr. (If Pawnee is a live-action Springfield, with its ever-expanding cast of recurring minor characters, then the withered, wheelchair-bound Newton is clearly its C. Miss Pawnee 1994, Jessica Wicks, last seen at the Miss Pawnee juror’s table alongside Leslie and Tom, is throwing an 85th birthday party there for her husband, Sweetums scion Nick Newton Sr., and making some ad-hoc renovations in the process. Leslie is little hope in making a dent in the 93 meetings, as she’s completely consumed with her first of the day: the landmark-ravaging goings-on at the Turnbill Mansion. Though expressly told not to say yes to anyone, Andy may have promised someone a new aquatic center and certainly made his interest in the Pawnee ultimate league clear as day. (Jerry is excused, and Donna isn’t around for some reason.) Much of the episode is devoted to rapid-fire scenes of these characters fielding complaints from (or in Ann’s case, doling out free medical advice to) the citizens of Pawnee, while Ron comes to a slow boil. Ron just needs “more Ron Swansons,” so he enlists every warm body he can find, which isn’t many: Andy, Ann, and April. Leslie, of course, is thrilled and would actually prefer to book seven more and go for an even 100. The problem is, March 31 does exist - an odd thing for someone named after a month to get confused about - so on this particular March 31, 93 people are arriving for appointments that’s roughly 93 more than Ron can stomach the thought of. ![]() Her secret? Simply schedule all his meetings on some nonexistent date, like March 31. If Michael Bay made an action-free workplace sitcom about droll Midwestern civil servants - and he really should - it’d probably look a lot like this.Īpril’s sole job in the parks office is to prevent Ron Swanson from having to speak to anyone ever. For its first episode in what feels like months, Parks and Rec makes a welcome and impressive return with a lightning-paced tour de force. |
